This
page pertains to a prior scenario, in which the folk of Britannia,
having finally restored Britannian history to its proper sequence
in ancient Sosaria have attempted to return to their own time. However
due to the imbalancing effects of powerful magical artifacts brought
from Sosaria by the Britannians, the Time Machine cast them three
centuries beyond their own time, into a world where humanity is
a beseiged remnant on the isle of Spektran, and the liche Vrinbar
has conquered the remainder of Britannia to create an undead army
for his master Mondain.
The
City and the Laws of Haven
This
section of rules and laws is included for historic record of the
scenario. The Rules page describes the current
server rules for Legacy. These only cover the specific modifications
for the Haven scenario.
There
are bunks all about the place. Claim one for free and a GM will
come. You'll get a newbie key for the chest and your name on the
bunk. Note that this is only one bunk per account, not per character.
In
character, there is no gold, it's all bartering. Of course, food
is free and rationed regardless. Out of character: You still use
gold and such, but just roleplay you are bartering.
The
law is basically play nice and don't steal other people's rations
or goods they've aquired If a thief is caught, he's imprisoned for
a few days, 2nd offense is exile from the town, which means they
have to live on the Island but can't come into the city anymore.
There is a person who takes the food to the exiles. There is a thief
exile to west side of the Island and a burgler exile to the south.
As
for murder or rape and really vile crimes, LB does not like death
sentences. The towne is fighting for their survival and he does
not want to teach death in front of the inhabitants, so murderers
are removed from the Island altogether, pretty much a death sentence
really, but LB doesn't want to teach humans to kill other humans
when the immediate goal is to keep the human race alive.
They
grow their own food and still their own liquer etc.
LB
is considered "Towne Leader." He gave his three artifacts to the
Avatar to help with his spell.
The
magic dome around Haven kills any undead trying to enter.
Sutek
is north of the Isle, studying the movements of the undead in New
Magincia through his telescope.
Sir
Garin, commander of the order is very headstrong and has no disregard
for the virtues, if not for LB's rule, he'd have hangings for the
simplest of crimes.
The
mages are studying a way of finding a way to open a portal to another
world, but all attempts have failed so far.
